Helping Our Neighbors

Jesus calls us to grow in our Lenten journey by sharing God’s love with others.

Lenten Sharing Bags
Each year Prince of Peace picks several charities to sponsor with donations of products for each. Grocery bags are given out with a list of items to be purchased and brought back to the church for collection and distribution.

Thanksgiving in February
On February 23, we join with our neighbors in Montgomery to eat out and help the hungry. Every year for Thanksgiving in February close to 100 restaurants in Montgomery County, Maryland join together to support the hunger relief work of 10 local nonprofit agencies by contributing a percentage of their sales.

30 Hour Famine
Our high school youth will lead the congregation in a 30 hour famine to raise awareness and money for children throughout the world who are dying of hunger each day.

Interfaith Community Blood Drive
On March 8, Prince of Peace will participate in an interfaith community Blood Drive at Shaare Torah in Lakelands.

Help those devastated by the earthquake in Haiti.

Growing our Faith

We worship and serve together, and also seek growth on our own personal faith journeys.
